April wrote us a poem in cotton, then sunwashed to a sublime shade of smokey teal. Patchwork lace embroidery, pockets and an unexpected lace hem.

Possibly my favourite!
Such a stunning dress, and the slip it comes with is so pretty & I plan on using it as a nighty! It's actually quite flattering, and with the hot weather, it'll be nice to wear around the house. Now, the dress itself, the quality is exactly what you expect from April Cornell; absolutely exquisite & breathable cotton. The sleeves are a bit short for my preference, but that's a common theme for April products, in my experience, so I did expect that to be the case when I ordered it anyway. The pockets are huge, but not bulky (again, as is usual with AC). I adore the lace trim detail, and while the garment washes and hang dries well, the lace doesn't quite lay right, so I do iron it, but I don't see that as an issue, it's kind of to be expected, eh? Lastly, I was apprehensive about how the top would fit on my chest, and I was pleasantly surprised that it contours perfectly & doesn't give off a boxy look. I'm considering purchasing the pink one. Maybe more colours will follow...? :D

Smokey teal - lovenote dress
This dress is comfortable and classy. Pockets, matching slip and detailed embroidery have made it a favourite addition to my wardrobe. I also bought it in the dusty rose colour.
