Holly Dress
Fabric is rather stiff and thin even after washing. Sleeves on model appear belled but in fact are straight. Crossover bodice fits awkwardly. Would return but returns are complicated and expensive due to postal strike. First disappointment from April Cornell.

Pretty dress
Nice dress, pretty print. I’m always interested in April Cornell black dresses, and was excited to get this one. I don’t love it as much as I thought it would. It’s a slightly closer fit than I thought it would be, compared to other dresses in my usual size, and the rayon fabric isn’t as nice-feeling as usual. It has a lot of sizing (kind of starchy) so will soften up after washing, but I think it will end up feeling rather thin. That said, it’s still a pretty dress, and I’m happy to have it. Looks cute with a cardigan or jean jacket.
