I wanted a new house dress
I sooo wanted this to be my new house dress. Since e-shakti went under I've been looking for a new place to buy my dresses. My mom used to get April Cornell catalogues when I was a kid and they always looked soooo pretty. The dress looks stunning on the model and I really wanted to love this dress, but it's not a midweight jersey, it's a slub jersey and it's flimsey and just hangs there like a wet dog after a dip in a swamp. I love the colour, I love the embroidery, I love the knit lace embellishments but the quality is sub par. I'm thinking to buy fabric and sew it to the dress to try to give it some strength, but disappointed doesn't quite describe how disappointed I am. Sorry kids. I'm not so likely to try again.
