Beautiful Dress, but Not for a Fuller Bust
This is a beautiful dress—the fabric, embroidery and details are lovely. Unfortunately, the very high empire waist sits directly below the bust, with a lot of gathering beginning at that point. If you have a fuller bust, this creates volume exactly where you don’t need it and can be quite unflattering. I like the dress enough that I’m keeping it and will alter it to reduce the gathering. I just wish April Cornell offered more dresses with a natural waist and less volume. This particular silhouette simply isn’t designed with a fuller bust in mind.
