Farmer's Market Corduroy Jacket - Dark Brown

This is beautiful. The colour is a plummy purply brown which will go with a lot of colours - mustard, teal, grey, cranberry etc . . . If you're between sizes go down. I'm a M or L with Cornell. Last year I bought the L green jacket and it's way too big this year I bought the M and it's perfect. The colour is more interesting in real life. A great shoulder season coat/jacket.

I wish to add a little more information on the colour of this jacket from my previous review. Looking more closely at it in the outside light, it seems to my eye more like a soft maroon/burgundy hue to the brown as opposed to the greyish hue on my first review which was done while looking at the colour indoors. The interior colour is indeed the burgundy hue. I am so glad I purchased this because I love brown. Just wanted to clarify the colour for those customers who may wish a more clearer explanation for perhaps mixing with other garment colours. Now I just have to figure out if mineral washed (jacket) is the same as sunwashed (skirt) because again to me in this picture they look to be different colours. I will email customer service to enquire. In the meantime I will look forward to wearing my "car coat", an old fashioned term for the length, in the upcoming Autumn season.

I just received today my beautiful jacket! Although I usually wear a size L in tops and dresses, I ordered an XL knowing that I would wear sweaters underneath and it is perfect. I really love April's Jackets and coats and I have purchased many through the years. Some I have kept and others I have shared. I noticed in the description that there will be a matching skirt. Hopefully it will be ankle length like the pumpkin colour skirt. I cannot wait as it will go beautifully together. The brown is not a deep almost black dark brown but rather a softer look that has been washed many times grayed brown. And of course the corduroy is super soft and a medium weight thickness perfect for cooler temps. Beautiful! I just love it!
